Today Renee (Nathan's Sister & the *other* aunt :) ) and I gave Emily her first baby shower. I think it went over really well and she and the baby got some really nice things!

This is the beautiful cake that Renee and Joyce had made! And don't my bridesmaid flowers from the day before make a great centerpiece :)

Nathan was sneaking downstairs to watch Free Willy with Braden while all the girls had fun upstairs!

Joyce (Grandma Rivera) made this AWESOME diaper *cake* for Emily and the baby! I had seen these before and knew that I wouldn't be able to pull it off and asked Joyce if she thought she could do it...she went above and beyond and it was beautiful!!!! It even had pictures of Emily and Nathan as baby's and their baby's ultrasound pictures on it!

Today was a great day for a wedding! It was beautiful! The rain came and went but didn't put any dampers on the day! The dresses and flowers turned out beautiful, Michelle was beautiful (Ted didn't look half bad either ;) ) The ceremony was flawless, the reception awesome! Michelle was even a trooper in letting the boys carry her around like that on the golf course :) And of course my little family was there...I think we clean up pretty well :) Braden found the tennis courts and talked Meena C. into letting him chase around some tennis balls, or play tennis as he sees it!
Thank you Michelle and Ted for including us in your special day! We wish you nothing but love and happiness! I hope you have a blast in Hawaii, I am so jealous!!!

After a day of bridesmaid pampering, we all made it through rehersal and dinner! Here's 4 of us bridesmaids and our very pretty toes! Michelle and Ted rehearsed well...we'll see how tomorrow goes :)

Braden and I made it to Lincoln ok! Braden was a little disappointed when he found out that the tow truck wasn't going to bring mommy's car back to us...what fun is it to just go and get it???

When we got to Lincoln, my good friend Andrea brought over her 6 week old son Lane so we could meet him! Braden loves babies and was really gentle with him and even held him for a few minutes! He loved it! And Andrea even showed him Lane's tiny toes (yes my son has a foot fetish!)

Our *nightmare* is our little boy's dream! He was in HEAVEN watching the tow truck tow mommy's car away! He thought it was just about the coolest thing, especially when they had to put lights on my car and lifted it up!

Bad News: 1 year old axle was destroyed (90 day warranty)

Good News: They gave us 1/2 price because they knew it was a crappy deal and it will be done tomorrow night so Braden and I should be able to drive it to Lincoln for Michelle's wedding!

Well I know you all were getting sick of pictures of Chris and me so here's one of Braden making bubbles on Memorial Day! Mom and Dad stayed for a little while and then we just chilled out the rest of the day and did a little grilling for dinner...Chris made yummy hamburgers! Overall it was a good day, Chris was glad he didn't have to go right back to work after vacation, he had a day to get readjusted!

This was the first morning that we woke up to clouds...that makes it so much easier to say good-bye to the lake! We left today at 6 am and made it home in 10 hours. Mom and Dad met us about 2 hours later with Braden! We had lots of fun without him, but we did really miss him, more than he missed us, I'm sure! I can't believe our vacation is over! Now back to reality...Oh Boy :)

Happy 5th Anniversary Chris!

5 years ago today I married my best friend...we've definitely had our share *adventures* but we've made it through and have one pretty cool little boy to show for it! Thank you for always being there for me and loving me!

Today in Michigan we didn't do much of anything! Which was pretty awesome! We decided to grill some yummy hamburgers for dinner and Chris was in heaven b/c one of the movie channels decided to do a Star Wars marathon and played all 6 movies in a row, Happy Anniversary to him :)

Well our 5 year anniversary isn't until tomorrow, but we celebrated tonight with an awesome dinner at the Bowery on Mission Peninsula! We literally had the whole restaurant to ourselves for a 1/2 hour, it was pretty cool! We enjoyed some very yummy food and a glass of wine and even got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary!

We then drove up to the tip of the peninsula and saw the Mission Lighthouse! It was a wonderful day!

Another beautiful, relaxing day in Michigan! After a dinner at the Dockside restaurant on Clam River we enjoyed a little wine on the dock while watching another awesome sunset!
