Tonight Braden and I were watching Extreme Home Makeover and when I got up from the couch to get something he said "Mommy lay back down, you be the road?!?!" I didn't know what he meant until he told me to lay on my side - he saw the stripe on my pants and it was just the right size to be a road for his cars...so for the rest of the night, I was the road!

Tonight Trey and Bret came over to play for awhile! Everyone had a great time playing outside with all the neighbor kids! Here they are settling down for the night with a little video!

Tonight was the last night of swimming lessons! Boy oh Boy has Braden done awesome this session! After 2 weeks of refusing to jump in the water...look at this style!

Then he did something I had never seen before ( I missed the last lesson when he first did it) He swam ALL BY HIMSELF...okay okay, so technically he was held up by a belt but look at these!

There he is all by himself - he thought he was soooo cool! He'd just take off swimming and saying hi to all the other kids...he seriously was a fish and he was so PROUD of himself which was so awesome to see!

Who knew a stop at the $ spot at Target to yield so much fun! I got Braden some tiny capsules that turn into dinosaurs in the water! He thought it was the greatest thing and kept wanting more! Heck, I should go stock up!

Oh, I feel better...I got some Keegan loving today!! I so wish we lived closer, look at those eyes! He's getting so big, he's able to get where he wants for the most part and really wants to be crawling on all fours!

Then we tried to get the boys to smile in a picture with their matching truck shirts that I couldn't pass up...it didn't really work, but these are the few we did capture...it always seemed that they were imitating each other!

This is now what decorates Braden's new walls! He picked out Transformer stick-ons! So their a little ugly for my taste, but at least they come off the walls and he is happy :)

Ha! You thought we were done with April birthdays...you were so wrong! Today is Adam's 17th Birthday! We missed the party, but will see him tomorrow to wish him a happy bday in person! He was a little embarrassed that mom brought the cake to the restaurant, but I think he got over it when he tasted it!!

Ok, so this isn't the most exciting picture...but in the spirit of documenting our lives day-to-day...I am obsessed with this salad right now! I've eaten one for 4 days in a row now! SO YUMMY! I found some skinless buffalo chicken tenders and top this salad with lots of veggies (and of course some cheese and croutons!!) and it has been heaven!

Chris is so excited to have the computer in the kitchen...can't you tell? :) Actually, it's not too bad! Maybe we'll keep it like this way for awhile. As for the rest of the crap in my kitchen, I'm ready to get this carpet laid and get it out of here!

Just a great day to be outside!!

Braden came home from Nebraska with one of the Matt's remote control cars, so we had to run to the store for batteries and it kept him busy for most of the time we were outside!
But then of course his car was broken so he had to hook it up to the tow truck to take it to the shop! I love his imagination!

Well Braden's room went from a sage green to tan and blue! This stripe was kind of a pain, but not too bad! I hope he likes it!

Edit: He said he liked it, but wanted to know why it wasn't ALL blue! I swear it always has to be something!

Rooms got painted and carpet got pulled! Then a little fun was had! We thought after all the work we had accomplished that we deserved a little down time with the neighbors! Thanks for a great night guys!!

I stole some pictures today from Mom - her and Braden went to the Children's Museum today and had a blast! He got to drive the John Deere tractor (one of his latest obsessions) and ride this motorcycle! He also got to drive a boat and a huge semi truck! Mom said they had 2 hours of fun fun fun!!!

Tonight Chris and I got to go out to dinner for my birthday all by ourselves! Earlier in the day Mom met me half-way and we dropped Braden off with his grandparents for the weekend. We needed some time to get his room painted and start boxing up the house for our new carpet that we should be getting some time next week! It is going to be weird being at the house without Braden, we've never really done this before! Hopefully we get a lot done!

Yep that's right, I'm the birthday girl today!

My fab friend Kara got this awesome glass for me! And I also felt so special with birthday flowers from dear family and friends. I have to say that this birthday (the last of my 20s!) I truly felt loved! I received so many birthday cards, emails, texts, phone calls! My dear friend Jill took me out for dinner and drinks and some girl time! Braden signed his name (almost by himself) in my card and Chris even wrapped my present this year :) (Love ya babe!!) So thank you to EACH of you who made me feel special and loved! I love you all!

Ok, so this happened yesterday, but the party kept on going till today so it still counts! We met Kate at the airport in our I *Heart* Kate shirts that were thought up at the last girls weekend! We do love that girl!

~Right of Passage~

Braden got to go to his very first Cardinal's Baseball game today! I was sad that I was going to miss this great day for him, but knew he would have so much fun! (And I knew KT was there to take pics ;) even though Chris did a pretty good job too!)

He had a great time! Got a little bored in the 3rd inning, but lasted through the end to see a big win! I think his Daddy, Grandpa and Aunt KT had a blast too!

I watch Gavin on most Mondays and Tuesdays, sometimes a Wednesday and sometimes not at all if one of the boys is sick (which happened a lot this winter!) The boys seriously are best buds. They greet each other with hugs and cry when it's time to leave...I'm loving watching this friendship evolve! There is 19 months between their ages, but I don't think they will let that stop them. I try to get Braden to understand that Gavin is watching EVERYTHING that he does, and that he is the big boy and needs to do things that we would want Gavin copying!! Braden rejoiced when Gavin started talking, always coming up to me when Gavin would say a word he could understand "Mom, Gavin is talking!!" He was so excited for him!

So anyway, Best Buds they are!! And this is what I found them doing the other day when I was watching them...I think this entertained them for 30 minutes, and no one fell and broke their head, so it was good, clean fun :)
