January 6

We had a HUGE milestone today (at least in this house!)
Blake hit 10.0 pounds today!!! I am so stinking proud of him. It was a personal goal of mine to make sure he hit double digits before his 1st birthday...and in doing so finally beat his Daddy's birth weight of 9 lbs. 6 oz.!!!

In other news - Blake was given Autobot status by his older brother (and if you don't know what an Autobot is...you must not have a Transformer obessed 5 year old living in your house - maybe I should come live with you?) See the nice Autobot symbol on his back - isn't that sweet! At least the Autobots are the good guys, usually he says Blake is a Decepticon because he comes in and 'attacks' when he's playing :)

And can I just say, that sometimes being the mom to a 5 1/2 year old boy is HARD. Today pretty much SUCKED - if I can be so blunt. In the 4 hours after I picked Braden up for school, he was sent to his room for about 3.5 of those before heading to bed at 7pm. I think this freezing cold and snow is driving us all bonkers. He is one that NEEDS to run off his excess energy (if any of you have seen him run his 'laps' you know what I'm talking about) and not being able to go outside is very hard and detrimental to him (and our relationship!) Finally at 7pm I knew that if he didn't just go to bed I would probably say things I would regret - so off he went and I poured myself a glass of wine. Chris got home and took Blake for me and I was in bed by 9pm snuggled up with a book. I so hope tomorrow is better - I HATE days like this. And it looks like there will be no school - so please please please let us make it through! :)
