Well today officially started our family vacation! It was a beautiful day to start it off...sunny and warm, hardly a cloud in sight! We met Meena K. and Deedle Dee (Uncle Kerry) in Michigan and then PopPop Dirk, John and KT flew in around 2 and were surprised to see us (we didn't tell them we were driving through the night!) We bummed around all day at the beach and then had some yummy pizza and a good night sleep, we were all pretty tired!

Daddy warming bubby up! He really loved the water. The last two years he has been a little leary of the big lake, but this year he just started wading in and there was no stopping him! Thank goodness that Santa brought him a brand new Spiderman lifejacket for Christmas!

Braden was thrilled that we were finally going on the first boat ride of the week! He's been talking about PopPop's boat in Michigan ever since we were here last year!

And after a really long night and day, he fell asleep on the boat...

...and stayed asleep getting out of the boat and into the house...and man was he mad when we had to get him out of his lifejacket and into jammies! Next time we'll put the jammies on before we leave for the boat ride!
